AAEI highlights members who are helping lead the Association on key issues, initiatives and projects. This week, the spotlight is on Julie Hoeniges of Rivian.

Julie is a member of AAEI’s Board of Governors, which is the Association’s the principal policy-making and governing body. Along with her fellow Board members, Julie worked with AAEI’s substantive committee co-chairs on the Association’s top advocacy goals for 2023. As a longtime AAEI member, Julie has also contributed to the work of AAEI’s Trade Policy Committee. She is a popular speaker and familar presence at AAEI events, having more than 20 years of trade compliance eperience.

At Rivian, Julie is Director of Global Trade Compliance. The electric vehicle manufacturer and automotive technology company relies on Julie to help develop business tools, analyze risk, oversee deployment of Rivian’s government and business advocacy efforts. Before taking her current role, Julie worked at Caterpillar, where she served as the company’s Trade Business Engagement Manager and Global Customs Compliance Manager.
