AAEI recognizes members who lead the Association on key issues, initiatives, and projects. This week, we spotlight Heidi Woods of Medtronic.
Heidi serves as co-chair of AAEI’s Healthcare Industries Committee (HIC) and has been actively involved in the committee for the past 7 years. This year, AAEI’s HIC established quarterly meetings with top officials at the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Heidi Woods has more than ten years of experience in the trade compliance field. She is currently the Americas Trade Operations Director at Medtronic, the world’s largest medical device company. At Medtronic, Heidi oversees import/export activities in Canada, US, and 10 countries within Latin America for Medtronic.
Prior to Medtronic, Heidi worked for Target Corporation as leader of the apparel and footwear HS classification team, followed by a year on the Target First Sale Team. She is passionate about team building, working on cross-functional, international projects, and identifying efficiency opportunities and solutions. Heidi is a licensed customs broker, Green Belt Lean Sigma certified, and holds a bachelor’s degree in international business and German from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.
