AAEI features members who personify the Association’s achievements, initiatives, projects and advantages. The Member of the Week spotlight finds Kim Daniels of Mercantile Logistics & International Trade, Inc.
Kim is a new AAEI member, convinced that now is the right time for her company to join the Association. As a licensed customs broker, Kim best serves her clients by remaining as knowledgeable as possible on trade issues that impact international trade practices. She and her colleagues are adopting changes to comply with U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP’s) Modernized Customs Broker Regulations, which went into effect last December. Kim sees AAEI membership as an important business tool, not just for advocacy, but for staying informed on the issues that challenge her clients’ compliance programs.
At Mercantile Logistics & International Trade, Inc., Kim is the CEO. She works directly with clients. She sets up import systems for new and existing small to medium sized business importers, handles the export process for all customers requiring shipments to move outside of the U.S., including Automated Export System (AES) system requirements, and establish freight forwarding compliance with local and federal laws. Kim is eager to get involved with fellow members.
AAEI welcomes Kim and her colleagues at Mercantile Logistics & International Trade, Inc. and looks forward to working together.
